One of our Bedfordshire based clients who’s IT Estate is monitored by our 24/7 IT Support were saved from certain IT outage, permanent damage and even fire.

It was late on a Friday afternoon our client was winding down and leaving their Head Office for the weekend, when a server monitored by ISL triggered an alarm. Our Network Operations Centre (NOC) that monitors our clients key IT Assets received an alarm that a processor in their live server was reaching a temperate threshold, it was getting hot!

Our NOC called the named site contact and asked them to investigate the issue. Our support specialist remained on the call as the site contact made their way to the server room. Upon arrival they were met with a group of painters who were getting ready to paint the offices over the weekend. However in the decorator’s diligent approach not to get paint onto any surfaces they had completely covered the server rack in thick dustsheets hence the processor’s rise in temperature!

Needless to say our support specialist recommended the removal of the dustsheets and we saw an immediate drop in processor temperature back down to safe levels.

Our client remains very happy and confident that the advanced live monitoring services and high calibre IT support technicians are amongst the best in the industry.
